About me!
Ok heres my "about me" page:
"My name is Emma and one thing you might like to know about me is that you will never have to offer me a chair as i take my own with me everywhere (complete with alloy wheels). some people feel sorry for me, but i just laugh, why would i want to walk?!"
The above was my attempt at a 50 word humourous statement about myself for a job application. i didn't hand it in though because i didn't like it!
what else might you like to know about me? I'm twenty, i'm disabled (i have cerebral palsy) and i'm a university student.
I study business studies at staffordshire university in stoke on trent (i'm from the uk if u hadn't guessed already)which is allegedly a centre of excellence for disabled people altho i'm not sure i agree with that! i have carers provided by them who are volunteers and it means i have someone on call 24/7 if i need them. at the moment it is done by two girls, Trudi who is fantastic and who i don't know what i'd do with out and Amy who hasn't been with me too long and i'm not too sure about but she seems nice enough. i have also made a lot of friends because of this scheme.
i was going to type up a list of funny things about me trudi wrote yesterday when she was helping me come up with the fifty word statement, but i can't be bothered!!

Ok so to update i now have a new carer called Amy and today is her second shift. i hope that we will get on fine but i'm not sure.
